OWS 0.2 is now available for Ubuntu 8.10:

I just had some troubles while trying to compile in Windows. I hope to solve them... soon Wink

i downloaded the files (https://openworldsoccer.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/openworldsoccer/tags/release-0.2/) and tried to compile it on windows with "visual c++ 2008" but it had 1582 errors!?!? like: fatal error C1083: "SDL/SDL_image.h": No such file or directory

i hope i simply used the wrong compiler because i don't want to search for all errors Sad
(and i've never used c++ before Smile )

It seems you don't have the necessary include files.

You need the development libraries, e.g. for sdl:
http://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL-devel-1.2.13-VC8.zip

I had successfully compiled ows using mingw, but unfortunately it crashes after the menu.

Now I will try using visual c++ 2008.

I was able to build and run trunk with VC9 on Vista last week but I had to leave out the widgets and fix some errors/warnings. After that the game was "playable" but very 0.1-ish.

I think that GL-includes should have #ifdef WINDOWS -guards.

EDIT: I just checked out tag0.2 and this time I documented my changes. I could have committed the changes but my solution is somewhat mixed.

widget.hpp:

I compiled it using eclipse cdt.
I just fixed match.cpp and used mingw32 and SDLmain linker flags (no need for windows.h).

I couldn't compile it w/o including windows.h. Instead I replaced all OpenGL-includes with #include <SDL/SDL_opengl.h> and added /D "_WIN32" compiler option. I believe that this is the proper way to do it.
